The present invention relates to modified release formulations of oxcarbazepine composition, in particular oral compositions, which have a modified release profile. Also the present invention use mixture of polyvinylaceate and povidone for modifying the drug release. Pharmaceutical formulation in this is a tablet dosage form with drug loading between 70 - 90 %, with average weight of 1400 mg only. The compositions have a characteristics in-vitro release profile.
