PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of easily preventing lateral leakage even though large quantity of body fluid such as urine is discharged at one time.SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1 constituted by arranging an absorbent core 4 between a top sheet 2 and a back sheet 3 and having a longitudinal direction y and a width direction z, auxiliary absorbent bodies 11 in which compressed elastic bodies 12 is covered with cover sheets 13 are arranged at the end parts of the absorbent core 4 or outside of the same in the top sheet 2 side of the absorbent article 1, at least a part of each of the cover sheets 13 are released when getting wet.
