PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transgenic plant cells and plants synthesizing a modified starch with modified viscosity properties and a modified phosphate content, and to provide the modified starch. SOLUTION: Nucleic acid molecules encoding proteins existing in plant cells as a starch-granule-bound type and a soluble type, vectors comprising the nucleic acid molecules, transgenic plant cells genetically modified with the nucleic acid molecules or the vectors, plant bodies comprising the plant cells, and starch obtained from the plant cells or the plant bodies, are provided.
