A medication administration reminder system (10) and method for a high blood pressure patient. The system and method are applied in a wearable device (1). The wearable device (1) comprises: a fingerprint sensor (11) and a blood pressure sensor (13). The method comprises the steps: receiving, via the fingerprint sensor (11), fingerprint information inputted by a high blood pressure patient (S31) downloading, on the basis of the fingerprint information, and from a medication database, a list of medications and medication instructions for each of the medications of the high blood pressure patient (S32) identifying, from the medication instructions, a pharmacological parameter and administration and dosage information for each of the medications (S33) calculating, on the basis of the pharmacological parameter and administration and dosage information of each of the medications, a medication administration time for each of the medications, and setting the medication administration time for each of the medications as a medication administration reminder time for the high blood pressure patient (S34) when the reminder time has reached the set time, measuring, via the blood pressure sensor (13), blood pressure data of the high blood pressure patient (S36) and generating, on the basis of the blood pressure data and the list of the medications, medication administration information for the high blood pressure patient (S37).
