A mitral valve cell collagenoplasty device comprising a catheter having a blocking member and a capture member. The blocking member is in the form of a pigtail or balloon and is configured at the distal end of the catheter to prevent the catheter from passing across the hazardous area thereby allowing the catheter to pass through the safe area . This prevents damage to critical cardiac tissue. The capture member is adapted to withdraw the RVOT cell cage wire towards the IVC and comprises a mesh that can be expanded and collapsed such that the RVOT cell-cradge wire is captured and directed through the safety area to the IVC.
