PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a brake cable from bending to become an obstacle regardless of the height of a handle in a walking aid including at least the handle whose height is adjustable and wheels with a brake.
SOLUTION: The walking aid includes a height adjusting mechanism 80 for fixing the positional relation between a support rod 3a and a support pipe 3b and making the support rod 3a slidable relative to the support pipe 3b when the height of the handle 1 is adjusted a first transmission member 64 on the handle 1 side and a second transmission member 66 on the brake side for transmitting the braking operation to the brake of the wheels and a connection mechanism 65 for fixing the positional relation between the first transmission member 64 and the second transmission member 66 and releasing the fixed positional relation between the first transmission member 64 and the second transmission member 66 when the height of the handle 1 is adjusted.
