PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation which is excellent in the aspects of safety, stability and effectiveness for preventing and improving aging of the skin.SOLUTION: The skin care preparation prevents the aging of the skin by containing one or more kinds selected from the group composed of (I) an extract containing ergothioneine derived from a mushroom and/or its derivative and (II) the solvent extract of the root of Bergenia ligulata(Wall.)Eng.(Saxifragaceae) or the like. As the mushroom, a Pleurotus mushroom is used, and as the Pleurotus mushroom, one or more kinds of mushrooms selected from a Pleurotus citrinopileatus, an Oyster mushroom, a King oyster mushroom and a Enoki mushroom (Flammulina velutipes) are used.
