Various embodiments of a hearing protection device are disclosed. The hearing protection device can include a hearing protector that includes a housing, a seal disposed adjacent an open end of the housing, a chamber adjacent the open end of the housing that forms an enclosed space with a head of a user, and a transducer. An actuator of the transducer is adapted to change a shape of the membrane to control a volume V1 of the enclosed space. The hearing protector also includes a motion detector connected to the housing that detects movement of the housing relative to the head of the user when the hearing protector is in contact with the head, and a controller connected to the motion detector and the transducer. The controller is adapted to control the volume V1 of the enclosed spaced based upon a signal from the motion detector.Conformément à différents modes de réalisation, linvention concerne un dispositif de protection auditive.
