To provide a positioning method in magnetic resonance imaging capable of efficiently performing positioning work which uses a standard image.
SOLUTION: The positioning method in the magnetic resonance imaging includes: a first display step for displaying as a standard image a part of tomographic data in three-dimensional image data comprising a plurality of tomographic image data prearranged in a region including a part whose image of a subject is hoped to be picked up a first setting step for setting a three-dimensional ROI (region of interest) ON the standard image displayed by the first display step an editing step for editing projection data when the three-dimensional image data are projected at least from either the direction vertical or horizontal to the three-dimensional ROI onto the three-dimensional ROI set by the first setting step and a second display step for displaying the projection data edited by the editing step as a reference image for positioning along with the three-dimensional ROI.
