The device further receives a reference signal which is indicative of a current operating frequency of the first periodic pulse generator. The device identifies, based on the reference signal, a plurality of harmonics 8- f) associated with the current operating frequency, computes correlation values ( A, - 2g) between the harmonics and the pressure signal (P) within a time window in 10 the pressure signal (P), and generates a filtered signal by subtracting, as a function of the correlation values (Zy - A8 ), the harmonics from the pressure signal (P). The use of correlation values is a direct, fast, robust and computation-efficient approach for estimating the signal contribution (a) from first pulses in the pressure signal (P). 15 Elected for publication: Fig. 6 41624871 (GHMauers)P92958.AU 15/03/132/5 4 d 4 13bd Z 12 a> 13a Time (arb.unit) FIG. 3(a) FIG. 3(b) RE 40 43 Fig. 4 (a) V3 43 (b) A4 FIG. 5
