PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that hardly gets sweaty and can reduce the damage to skin regardless of the amount of an excreted liquid.SOLUTION: The absorbent article that is vertically long includes a surface sheet, a back sheet, an absorber that is interposition-disposed by both sheets, wherein the absorber includes: an upper layer absorber distributed to a skin contact surface side and a lower layer absorber distributed to a skin noncontact surface side from the upper layer absorber. The upper layer absorber has a narrower width and shorter length than the lower layer absorber, and is disposed to at least an excretion part opposite region, in a region that is a surface in which the upper layer absorber and the lower layer absorber are laminated and oppose each other, and in which the upper layer absorber exists in plan view, at either or both surfaces of the upper layer absorbent side or the lower layer absorbent side, a continuous groove is included. The groove reaches the end of the width direction or the longitudinal direction of a region in which the upper layer absorber exists.
