The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating inflammatory disease or asthma containing an extract of Decaspermum fruticosum. The Decaspermum fruticosum extract of the present invention suppressed increase of eosinophils in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid in an ovalbumin-induced asthmatic animal model, and has been confirmed to have an action suppressing immunoglobin secretion and chemokine (eotaxin) secretion in alveolar lavage fluid and blood, and has been confirmed to suppress macrophage NO and TNF-α secretion with respect to artificially induced inflammation, and the invention can therefore be used to advantage in medicinal products and health and functional foods for preventing and treating inflammatory disease or asthma containing the extract of Decaspermum fruticosum as an active ingredient.La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique destinée à la prévention et au traitement de maladies inflammatoires ou de l'asthme, contenant un extrait de Decaspermum fruticosum. L'extrait de Decaspermum fruticosum de la présente invention supprime l'augmentation d'éosinophiles dans un fluide de lavage bronchoalvéolaire, dans un modèle animal d'asthme induit par l'ovalbumine. Son action sur la suppression de la sécrétion d'immunoglobine et de chimiokine (éotaxine) dans le fluide de lavage alvéolaire et le sang a été confirmée, ainsi que son action dans la suppression de la sécrétion de TNF-α et de monoxyde d'azote macrophage par rapport à une inflammation induite artificiellement.
