The invention relates to medicinal agents and concerns a composition for treating wounds, burns and inflammatory conditions of the skin and mucosa that contains, as an active ingredient, cerium oxide nanoparticles and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier that provides a soft medicinal form for the composition. The carrier includes at least one water-soluble cellulose derivative, preferably selected from a group comprising carboxymethylcellulose and Cellosize. The composition additionally includes at least one water-soluble polysaccharide from brown algae selected from a group comprising pectin, fucoidan and alginate. The composition is produced in the form of a spray or a gel. The gel forms an elastic, spongy, gas- and vapor-permeable coating. The invention also proposes the use of the composition to prepare a medicinal agent, as well as a container containing the composition in the form of a spray or a gel.L'invention concerne des médicaments et porte sur une composition pour traiter les plaies, les brûlures, les états inflammatoires de la peau et des muqueuses, contenant en tant que principe actif des nanoparticules d'oxyde de cérium et un excipient pharmaceutiquement acceptable qui permet d'offrir une forme posologique douce de la composition. Le support comprend au moins un dérivé de cellulose soluble dans l'eau, de préférence choisi dans le groupe constitué par la carboxyméthylcellulose et le cellosize.
