PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for an endoscope and an endoscope system in which, in special light observation, a ratio between white illumination light and narrow-band light can be kept constant, light quantity balance and color balance between both light can be maintained, a high-definition special light observation image with no or little change in brightness and hue can be obtained, and, as a result, a high-definition observation image bright as a whole can be obtained in special light observation and normal observation, and thereby a high-level diagnosis is possible.SOLUTION: A light source device for endoscope comprises: light quantity measurement means for measuring the light quantity of either each component of light emitted from a first light source part, multiplexed light multiplexed by a multiplexing member or a part of the light, or light emitted from a second light source part and light quantity control means for calculating light quantities of the light emitted from the first and second light source parts based on measurement values of the light measured by the light quantity measurement means, and controlling the second light source part on the basis of both calculated light quantities.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
