PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a perilla vegetable-containing liquid food having a vivid green color of perilla vegetable with an accentuated good flavor and the perilla vegetable-containing liquid food.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a perilla vegetable-containing liquid food includes: an immersion step of immersing leaves of raw perilla vegetable in an edible oil at a temperature of 78°C or higher and 180°C or lower a heat treatment step 1 of heating the leaves immersed in the edible oil at a temperature of 78°C or higher and 180°C or lower a shredding treatment step of shredding and pulverizing the heat treated product in a state with one part of raw perilla vegetable leaves containing 0.5 part or more of edible oil and a heat treatment step 2 of heating the shredded product at a temperature of 60°C or higher and 90°C or lower.
