An apparatus for and method of making a hollow bakedproduct at least partially from an edible, baked flat wafer cakethat, when hot, can be shaped and simultaneously and orsubsequently cooled and thereby rendered rigid, where the wafercake when hot is fed to a deep-drawing cavity, deformed by apreshaping device into folds, and pushed by a stamp into the deep-drawingcavity such that the shaping causes the folds of each wafercake to lie over each other in multiple layers.
