PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation apparatus which realizes mass production of root vegetables in a limited area and eliminates high-place work.SOLUTION: Since root vegetable 100 grows laterally, there is no need to secure a large space in vertical direction, a large number of holding cylinders 10 are vertically stacked in a limited area, root vegetables 100 can be mass-produced. Further, even if the height of a cultivation apparatus is low, that is, even if the height is about the same as the height of an operator for example, a large number of the holding cylinders 10 can be stacked, and the need of high-place work is eliminated.【課題】限定された面積内における根菜類の大量生産及び高所作業を不要とすることができる栽培装置を提供する。【解決手段】根菜１００は横向き延びるので、上下方向に大きな空間を確保する必要はなく、限られた面積に多数の保持筒１０、１０、・・・、１０を上下に積層し、根菜１００を大量生産することができる。また栽培装置の高さが低くとも、例えば作業者の身長と同程度の高さであっても多数の保持筒１０を積層させることができ、高所作業は不要となる。【選択図】図２
