A method of applying a fastening means to a back sheet of an absorbent product, said back sheet facing away from the user during use, and being opposite to a body facing side of the absorbent product, which method comprises the steps of applying an adhesive layer on the back sheet of the absorbent product, and applying an expandable ink wherein 5-95% of the back sheet is covered by the expandable ink； and an absorbent product comprising a body facing side, a back sheet facing away from the user during use, and being opposite to the body facing side of the absorbent product, and a fastening means applied on the garment facing side, said fastening means comprising an adhesive layer and an expandable ink.
