A method of applying a fastening means to a backsheet of an absorbent product, said backsheet facing away from the user during use, and being opposite to a body facing side of the absorbent product, which method comprises the steps of applying an adhesive layer on the backsheet of the absorbent product, and applying an expandable ink wherein 5-95% of the backsheet is covered by the expandable ink； and an absorbent product comprising a body facing side, a backsheet facing away from the user during use, and being opposite to the body facing side of the absorbent product, and a fastening means applied on the garment facing side, said fastening means comprising an adhesive layer and an expandable ink.
