1. A method for evaluating the lung function of a subject, said method being implemented in a diagnostic device configured to execute one or more computer program modules, and said method comprises the steps of: receiving an exhaled stream of air from a subject’s respiratory tract when the subject is exhaled; measuring volume expiratory flow upon exhalation of the subject according to the accepted exhaled air flow; create a graph representing the expiratory volume during expiration, the graph has the form; doha during exhalation; based on the shape of the graph, characteristics of the lung function of the subject are evaluated. 2. The method according to claim 1, wherein the step of evaluating the characteristics of the lung function of the subject is performed depending on the determination that the measurement of expiratory volume during expiration is sufficiently reliable. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of determining the accuracy of the measurement of expiratory volume is based on a graph form. The method according to claim 3, wherein the step of determining the reliability of measuring the expiratory volume comprises a step of comparing the graph with a set of standards of shapes corresponding to unreliable measurements of expiratory volume. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of evaluating the lung function of the subject is based on the slope of the plot portion. A system for assessing the lung function of a subject having airways, the system comprising: a mouthpiece (144) configured to receive an exhaled air stream from a subject’s airway while exhaling a subject; a sensor (140) configured to measure an exhaled volume from a received exhaled air stream1.
