PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain the performance of a liquid-permeable front surface sheet between right and left embossed parts, and to prevent impairment of the texture.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a sanitary napkin 1 includes an absorber 4 interposed between a liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3 and a rear surface sheet 2, and a pair of right and left embossed parts 9 and 9 on both sides of the liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3. The liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3 is introduced into a roll 30 with a roll projection 30a provided along the circumferential direction at the center in the lateral direction, and is made to project toward the upper surface along the longitudinal direction at the center in the lateral direction of the liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3. Then, the liquid-permeable front surface sheet 3 is laminated on the upper surface side of the absorber 4 with a projecting curved part 31 formed in the width corresponding to the width of distance between fitting embossed parts, and after that, the fitting embossed parts 9 and 9 are formed from the upper surface side of the liquid-permeable front surface sheet.
