PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact seedling transplanter equipped with a seedling planting device capable of narrowly setting a space between planting rows. SOLUTION: This seedling transplanter is characterized by having an output shaft 9 from a planting transmission case 2, 43, planting row driving arms 36 rotated by the rotation of the output shaft 9, planting row seedling-planting tools 59 for planting seedlings by the rotation of the planting row driving arms 36, and swinging arms 108 connected to the planting transmission case 2, 43 and the seedling-planting tools 59, in a seedling-planting device 50, and disposing balance weight portions 36a projected on the inside from the right and left end portions of the planting transmission case 2, 43 in the forward travelling direction of a travel vehicle body 56 in an end portion on the side opposite to the planting row seedling-planting tool 59-connected side 36b of each planting row driving arm 36 at a place not contacting with the right and left end portions of the planting transmission case 2, 43 on the rotation driving of the driving arms 36 in order to balance to the seedling-planting tools 59.
