An apparatus and method for identifying objects in an ultrasound image that includes acquiring ultrasound information from a catheter (10), locating the ultrasound information (52, 54) to a three-dimensional cardiac model (30) having two or more distinct anatomic objects, displaying at least one of the distinct anatomic objects from the cardiac model (30) within a visual representation of the ultrasound information (52, 54), and identifying the at least one of the distinct anatomic objects within the visual representation of the ultrasound information (52, 54) using the identifier provided for that object in the three-dimensional cardiac model (30).La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé didentification dobjets dans une image ultrasonore comprenant les étapes consistant à acquérir des informations ultrasonores en provenance dun cathéter 10, à positionner les informations ultrasonores 52, 54 sur un modèle cardiaque en trois dimensions 30 comportant au moins deux objets anatomiques distincts, à afficher au moins lun des objets anatomiques distincts du modèle cardiaque 30 dans une représentation visuelle des informations ultrasonores 52, 54, et à identifier ledit ou lesdits objets anatomiques distincts dans la représentation visuelle des informations ultrasonores 52, 54 en utilisant lidentificateur fourni pour cet objet dans le modèle cardiaque en trois dimensions 30.
