PURPOSE: A plant with improved yield-related character and a method for producing the same are provided to control the expression of a nucleic acid encoding LEJ1(Loss of timing of ET and JA biosynthesis 1) polypeptide, ExbB polypeptide, NMPRT(nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase) polypeptide, AP2-26-like polypeptide, or HD8-like polypeptide.CONSTITUTION: A method for improving yield-related character comprises a step of controlling the expression of a nucleic acid encoding HD8-like polypeptide in a plant. The nucleic acid is derived from Oryza sativa.
