PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin type absorber having high absorption performance and excellent texture.SOLUTION: An absorber 2 includes an absorber layer 26 containing water absorptive resin powder 6 that satisfies the following requirements (a)-(d), and fabricated by an air lay method, where a mass ratio of the water absorptive resin powder 6 is not less than 65.0 mass% and not more than 95.2 mass% with respect to the total mass of the absorber layer 26. The water absorptive resin powder has (a) a bulk density of 0.45 g/ml-0.62 g/ml, (b) an absorption rate by a vortex method of 20-50 sec., (c) liquid permeation speed of 10 sec. or less under load, and (d) a moisture absorption blocking ratio of 5% or less.
