For an alert assistance to an ultrasound scanner, computer-assisted detection is applied when a patient is scanned. Any detected objects may be notified to a user. The user may collect more information if it is appropriate. An automated system may be configured to return to scan the detected objects. Information is collected as part of a workflow for a given examination of the patient based on detection.
