In the present invention, the effective drug concentration is maintained in the blood for more than 14 hours while minimizing side effects such as nausea and vomiting by lowering the maximum blood concentration (C max ) of the drug by having a constant release profile, and taking the drug once a day orally. Disclosed is a sustained-release tablet composition for oral use of rivastigmine with remarkably improved compliance. The tablet composition according to the present invention can be prepared by a simple manufacturing method such as a direct tableting method, a dry granulation method, or a wet (granule) compression method.본 발명에는 일정한 방출 프로파일을 가져서 약물의 최고혈중농도(Cmax)를 낮춤으로써 구역질 및 구토와 같은 부작용을 최소화하면서 14시간 이상 혈액 중에 유효약물농도가 유지되게 하고, 1일 1회 경구 복용으로 복약순응도가 현저히 개선된 리바스티그민의 경구용 서방성 정제 조성물이 개시되어 있다. 본 발명에 따른 정제 조성물은 직접타정법, 건식과립법 또는 습식(과립)압축법 등의 단순한 제조방법으로 제조될 수 있다.
