The present invention provides a binding machine for gardening which can take a long gripping margin for use in the next and subsequent tape gripping operation while preventing the gripping failure of a tape gripping apparatus, and hardly causes defective cutting of a tape. Specifically, the binding machine for gardening comprises: a tape guide (16) which is provided at a front end portion (11a) of a main handle (11), and is configured to guide a tape (60) to be extracted； a tape gripping apparatus (35) which is provided at a front end portion (30a) of a clincher arm (30), and is configured to grip an end portion (60a) of the tape (60) extracted from the tape guide (16)； and a cutting blade (17) which is configured to cut the tape (60). The tape guide (16) is movably mounted such that a position of the tape guide when the tape gripping apparatus (35) operates to grip the end portion (60a) of the tape (60) and a position of the tape guide when the cutting blade (17) operates to cut the tape (60) are different from each other.
