PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device which is easy to use and is short in required time for authentication processing, and a control method and program for the same.SOLUTION: A portable terminal device includes a control part controlling a terminal device, a storage part, and a communication part communicating with an external unit. The external unit includes an authentication device which performs authentication processing using a subject's biological information and transmits to the terminal device authentication information for obtaining operation permission of a device to be operated that is based on the authentication processing.
