PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic having ultraviolet-absorbing effect, exhibiting excellent adhesiveness to the skin or the hair, and containing a silicone polymer having no sticky feeling.SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises a polymer (A) containing a repeating unit (2), and soluble in decamethylcyclopentasiloxane. The polymer (A) has an ultraviolet-absorbing substituent represented by formula (5), and an organopolysiloxane residue.
