The method of producing a calcium silicate-based material comprises: (1) a step of obtaining a reaction product by reacting raw materials containing a calcium component, a silicon component and an aluminum component in an aqueous medium and (2) a step of forming calcium silicate by subjecting the reaction product to hydrothermal treatment.
