The present invention relates to an electric scissor (10) having cutting portions (18, 19) moving in association of the rotation of a motor (12) and, more specifically, relates to a device for detecting foreign substances in the electric scissor (10). The present invention includes a means detecting foreign substances stuck to the cutting portions (18, 19), wherein the foreign substances by the foreign substance detection means are detected based on torque information of the motor (12).
