Sugarcane Leaf Removing Method and Apparatus A sugarcane leaf removing equipment comprises a self-propelled motorized frame forming a tunnel in which the vertical sugarcane stems pass due to the movement of such a painting. A pair of side arms attached to the front of the frame elevate the sugar cane feet and align them straight and house them at the front end of the equipment tunnel. a movable arm extending forward in front of the tunnel in which a cutter is mounted to remove the leaves from the tops of the sugar cane feet. an adjustable deflector (tunnel cover frame) to engage and bend the vertical sugar cane feet at an appropriate angle for leaf removal. a set of rotating brushes arranged at the sides of the equipment at an angle such that the brushes are almost perpendicular to the sugar cane feet bent by the deflector. the above equipment moves along the row of uncut, planted sugarcane feet, forcing the sugarcane feet to bend and roll forward through a brush tunnel counter-rotating in a cylindrical shape. Through the passage through the tunnel, the leaves of the sugarcane stalks are removed by the cylindrical brushes. the geometrical axis of the cylindrical brushes is tilted so that the bends forwards are almost perpendicular to the front. the rods are kept tilted forward as they pass through the tunnel by means of an adjustable cover frame above the upper end of the rods. After the rods have passed through the tunnel, they exit through the end of the tunnel and return to their original positions. they are then ready to be harvested by any conventional meansmétodo e aparelho removedor de folhas de cana-de-açúcar um equipamento removedor de folhas de cana-de- açúcar compreende um quadro motorizado auto propelido formando um túnel, no qual as hastes verticais de cana-de- açúcar passam devido ao movimento de tal quadro. um par de braços laterais fixados na frente do quadro elevam os pés de cana-de-açúcar e os alinham de forma reta e os alojam na extremidade fronta
