In certain embodiments, the invention relates to adenosine reuptake inhibitors, adenosine salvage pathway inhibitor or adenosine degradation pathway inhibitors, adenosine, deoxyadenosine, and variants or derivatives thereof, and uses thereof, for example the treatment of autoimmune conditions, pro-inflammatory conditions, neoplasia, neoplastic disorder, or cancer. In certain embodiments, the invention relates to a compound or composition that modulates the adenosine uptake, adenosine salvage, or adenosine degradation pathway and uses thereof.
