PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oral cleaning tool and a coated wire for the oral cleaning tool, capable of highly efficiently removing food residues between teeth and dental plaque and being useful for cleaning and polishing the tongue.SOLUTION: Oral cleaning tools (1a, 1b, and 1c) attached to a handle (2) and including coated wires (3a, 3b, and 3c), each of the coated wires (3a, 3b, and 3c) includes a core wire and a sheath yarn for covering the core wire, where the core wire is a metallic line, the sheath yarn is a fiber yarn, and the sheath yarn is tightened by the core wire to be integrated. The coated wire for the oral cleaning tool includes a core wire, and a sheath yarn for covering the core wire, where the core wire is a metallic line, the sheath yarn is a fiber yarn, and the sheath yarn is tightened by the core wire to be integrated.
