Disclosed are a pest control composition comprising a compound capable of modulating a juvenile hormone Methoprene-tolerant (Met) receptor, and uses thereof. According to the present invention, the composition specifically affects insects as a plant derived insect growth regulator and has insecticidal effects but is an environmentally-friendly insecticide harmless to the plant itself. Also, the composition has the same mode and point of action as hormone of insects so insects have difficulty in obtaining resistance against the same.본원은 유충호르몬 Met(Methoprene-tolerant) 수용체를 조절할 수 있는 화합물을 포함하는 해충 방제용 조성물 및 그 용도를 개시한다. 본원에 따른 조성물은 식물 유래 곤충 성장 조절제로서 곤충에는 특이적으로 작용하여 살충효과를 가지면서도 식물체 자체에는 무해한 친환경 살충제인 동시에 곤충의 호르몬과 동일한 작용기작과 작용점을 가지므로 곤충이 이에 대한 저항성을 획득하기 어렵다는 장점을 가진다.
