The invention relates to immunotherapeutic compositions and methods for the treatmentof autoimmune diseases and disorders in human subjects using therapeutic antibodiesthat bind to the human CD 19 antigen and that preferably mediate human ADCC. Thepresent invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising humanor humanized anti-CD 19 antibodies of the IgGl or IgG3 human isotype. The presentinvention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising human or humanizedanti- CD 19 antibodies of the IgG2 or IgG4 human isotype that preferably mediatehuman ADCC. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprisingchimerized anti-CD19 antibodies of the IgGl, IgG2, IgG3, or IgG4 isotype thatmediate human ADCC. In preferred embodiments, the present invention relatesto pharmaceutical compositions comprising monoclonal human, humanized, orchimeric anti-CD 19 antibodies.
