PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an additive for a skin detergent that imparts a moist and refreshing finish feeling by overcoming respective faults of a semi-synthesized additive for a skin detergent represented by polyquaternium-10 and a synthesized additive for a skin detergent represented by polyquaternium-7 or -39, and a skin detergent containing the same.SOLUTION: The additive for a skin detergent contains a graft copolymer obtained by graft-copolymerizing a cationic water-soluble monomer and a nonionic water-soluble (meth)acrylic monomer in an aqueous solution containing either a natural polymer or a natural polymer derivative or both each bearing an OH group and imparts a pliant finish feeling.
