PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a squid fishing boat and a squid fishing method capable of efficiently catching squids by efficiently using fishing lights.SOLUTION: When a position of a fishing line 23 arranged nearest to the bow side is defined as the most bow side fishing line position a1, when position of a fishing line 23 arranged nearest to the stern side is defined as the most stern side fishing line position a2, and when a distance in the long direction of a boat between the most bow side fishing line position a1 and the most stern side fishing line position a2 is defined as a reference distance a, by setting the center position a3 of the reference position a as a center, an area within 65% of the reference distance a in the long direction of the boat is set as a fishing light area 31.
