PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of grasping a cooling state of a gradient magnetic field coil.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes a detection part 93, a current control part 95a, and a determination part 95b. The detection part 93 detects the temperature of a gradient magnetic field coil through temperature sensors 27a, 27b, and 27c provided to the gradient magnetic field coil 20. The current control part 95a controls current supply to the gradient magnetic field coil 20.
