PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI device that detects a symptom of abnormality of a gradient magnetic field coil at an early stage, and avoids operation stop due to failure.SOLUTION: An MRI device 100 includes: a gradient magnetic field coil； a gradient magnetic field power source 2 for supplying electric current to the gradient magnetic field coil； a measurement part 3 for measuring the electric current and voltage output from the gradient magnetic field power source 2 when the electric current for measurement is supplied to the gradient magnetic field coil by the gradient magnetic field power source 2； a sequence control part 6 for controlling a measurement sequence for performing the measurement and an imaging sequence for imaging an object to be examined； a calculation part 21 for calculating impedance of the gradient magnetic field coil from the electric current and voltage measured by the measurement part 3； a determination part 23 for determining whether or not there is abnormality of the gradient magnetic field coil based on the impedance； and a display part 40 for displaying the result of the determination.
