SOLUTION: This method for producing the solid powdery cosmetic containing a (A) 70 to 97 mass% powdery component containing a 10 to 98 mass% plate-formed powdery material having an average particle diameter of 1 to 300 &mu m and an aspect ratio of 10 to 400 is provided by compression-molding the cosmetic and while imparting a vibration having a frequency of 10 to 40 kHz and an amplitude of 10 to 100 &mu m ON molding.
