PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backing material for an ultrasonic probe in which an attenuation factor of a needless ultrasonic wave radiated backward from an ultrasonic vibrator which constitutes an ultrasonic probe is high, and which in addition, has an appropriate acoustic impedance and is excellent in a yield during dicing, and an ultrasonic probe using the same and ultrasonic medical image diagnosis device using it.SOLUTION: The backing material for ultrasonic probes is provided behind an ultrasonic vibrator constituting an ultrasonic probe, and attenuates an ultrasonic wave radiated backward from the ultrasonic vibrator.
