PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing solid dressings capable of treating wounded tissue in a mammal, particularly wounded tissue caused by trauma.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method of preparing solid dressings for treating wounded tissue in a mammal, such as a human, the solid dressings comprising hemostatic layers consisting essentially of a fibrinogen component and a fibrinogen activator.
