PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide solid dressings for treating wounded tissue in mammalians, such as humans.SOLUTION: Provided are solid dressings comprising a hemostatic layer consisting essentially of a fibrinogen component and a fibrinogen activator, where the hemostatic layer is cast or formed from a single aqueous solution containing the fibrinogen component and the fibrinogen activator.
