The present invention relates to hydrogel microbeads including at least water, chitosan and alginate, the water being present at a concentration of at least 90 wt.%, the chitosan being present at a concentration of 0.3 to 10 wt.% and the alginate being present at a concentration of 0.5 to 10 wt.%, the percentages by weight being expressed in relation to the weight of the hydrogel microbead, said beads having an average diameter of from 100 to 900 μm, said beads not having solid trabeculae. The invention also relates to the method for production of said microbeads and to the uses thereof, in particular in pharmaceutical compositions or medical devices, specifically for treating a joint condition.La présente invention concerne des microbilles d'hydrogel comprenant au moins de l'eau, du chitosane et de l'alginate, l'eau étant présente à une concentration d'au moins 90% en masse, le chitosane étant présent une concentration de 0,3 à 10 % en masse et l'alginate étant présent à une concentration de 0,5 à 10% en masse, les pourcentages en masse étant exprimés par rapport à la masse de la microbille d'hydrogel, lesdites billes présentant un diamètre moyen en nombre allant de 100 à 900 μm, lesdites billes ne présentant pas de trabécules solides. L'invention concerne également leur procédé de fabrication et leurs utilisations, en particulier dans des compositions pharmaceutiques ou des dispositifs médicaux, plus particulièrement pour le traitement d'une pathologie d'une articulation.
