PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substance delivery device having a means for adjusting the expelled amount of substance to be injected and a means for priming a syringe.SOLUTION: A substance delivery device (autoinjector) 1 for use with a container 20 (such as a syringe) containing the substance comprises a body 10 arranged to house or hold the container and a plunger 40 which is movable with respect to at least a portion of the body 10, and the plunger 40 is arranged to act upon the container 20 so as to move the container 20 with respect to the portion of the body 10, wherein the plunger 40 is also arranged to expel at least a portion of the substance from the container 20, and wherein the device 1 comprises a means for adjusting the amount of substance to be expelled from the container 20.
