Provided herein are processes for the preparation of 7-(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethoxy)-2-(4-nitrophenyl)imidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole and 7-(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethoxy)-2-(4-aminophenyl)imidazo[2,1-b]benzothiazole. These compounds are useful, for example, as intermediates in the preparation of N-(5-tert-butyl-isoxazol-3-yl)-N-{4-[7-(2-morpholin-4-yl-ethoxy)imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]benzothiazol-2-yl]phenyl}urea, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, solvate, hydrate, or polymorph thereof.
