PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capturing apparatus for efficiently and economically capturing Trigonotylus caelestialium that is attracted to sex pheromones, and a method of predicting propagation using the same.SOLUTION: The apparatus for capturing Trigonotylus caelestialium is provided which includes a floor member with a capturing part for capturing Trigonotylus caelestialium, a roof member for covering the floor member, and a spacer provided between the floor member and the roof member for forming an opening that is at least 5 cm high to enable Trigonotylus caelestialium to intrude from at least 180 degrees of 360 degrees of rotation when its height direction is a rotation axis. A carrier retaining unit capable of retaining above the capturing part a carrier that emits sex pheromones is provided in either the floor member, the roof member or the spacer.
