PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ophthalmologic apparatus for easily adjusting a light amount of illumination light projected to a subject eye in order to image a subject eye picture.SOLUTION: An ophthalmologic apparatus comprises: a light projection optical system 10a for projecting illumination light emitted from a light source 11 to a subject eye and an imaging optical system 50 for imaging a subject eye picture by a light reception element 52 receiving light obtained by the subject eye E reflecting the illumination light. A control unit 100 controls a light amount of the illumination light and switches its control mode between an automatic light adjustment mode for automatically increasing or decreasing the light amount of the illumination light on the basis of the light obtained by the subject eye E reflecting the illumination light and a manual light adjustment mode for increasing or decreasing the light amount of the illumination light on the basis of an instruction from an examiner. When the control mode is switched from the automatic light adjustment mode to the manual light adjustment mode, the control unit 100 takes over a light amount of the illumination light projected from the light projection optical system 10a in the automatic light adjustment mode to an initial value of a light amount of the illumination light in the manual light adjustment mode.
